About Us

At The Literacy Now Foundation, we believe that everyone deserves the right to have access to meaningful, powerful and important education.

Human empathy bears its foundation on the idea that no single human is more deserving of the opportunity to succeed than any other human – that no matter how different two people’s current situations are, there are really only a very few pivotal moments that determined how their lives played out differently.

We believe that literacy and access to education is a fundamental human right. Anyone who seeks to improve her life through education and literacy should not be denied access to the resources and tools she needs to accomplish her goals.

And we set out to provide the platform for children starting from birth, for undereducated adults and for those with special needs or learning disabilities to empower themselves through meaningful, practical and useful education.

The need for literacy begins in early infancy — and we feel that if children have access to shiny new books, they won’t help but be able to pick them up and engage.

Additionally, the impact of adult literacy passes down for generations and has a lasting impact on children for years to come. The literacy of the adults in any given household has a profound and complex effect on that of the children who are born into it.

This is why we cater to populations of all age groups, all demographics and all learning levels. We hope to provide our programs in such a way that adults and children alike are set up for success in their futures and have reason to feel hopeful about what the years ahead bring.
